In Tanzania we partner with P.E.F.A. Pentecostal Evangelical Fellowship
of Africa.
Summer 2005 a small team visited and met with Joseph Mophat and
retired Tanzanian Bishop Stephan on the islands of Zanzibar to consider
working on the islands to serve the people at their points
of need.
The government of the islands recently asked us to consider assisting
with an English stream primary school, health clinics, orphanage
and respite home for those dying of AIDS.
We are slowly proceeding to accomplish some of these goals, and you can now visit the All-Nations Academy website to see our progress.
We invite you to sponsor a needy student. A one year scholarship including uniform and one meal a day is $240, twenty dollars a month. You can do so by clicking on donations on the left – or contact our office at info@iatw.ca for further information. We are also doing further construction of classrooms if you would like to assist in that. Each classroom costs $4,500.
These East African islands are to many a tropical paradise. BUT – the
history of the islands is tied with slavery as depicted by the statues
in Stone Town seen below. Many people are still slaves of sin as
they do not know the freeing power of Gods love in Christ. We ask
you to prayerfully consider being a part of this new outreach.
As a school is started there will be numerous opportunities for
teachers, computer people, musicians, business men, and similar skills
to teach in the All Nations Academy – both to children and
adults as we seek to share God’s love with these warm-hearted
friendly Zanzibari.
